The Fen House is a truly unique, interesting and environmentally sensitive construction project for Shastan Homes. Nearly 80% of the two acre site is covered with a "fen", also known as a wetland. This habitat is home to many plants and animals that are protected, and it provides the owners with an existing natural landscape that would be nearly impossible to replicate.

This home is so close to the ocean that salt spray hits the windows. With a nearly 180 degree view of the water, most rooms in the home have a fantastic panorama that will let the owners experience every mood of the ocean. After 2-1/2 years of careful design and planning, we finally have the right to build. We broke ground on the site work on August 16th, and we hope to be complete in 5 to 6 months.
